Spin Cycle Word Prompt - Faith
This week's blog prompt from Spin Cycle was to take another's blogger New Year's resolution word and give it your own spin. Mine was fun. It will be interesting to see what others have to say about a simple word.
I chose to go with Kris' Faith. This word really resonates because I seem to be lacking faith. There is the fear my husband will lose his job come February. As a stay at home mom a loss of his income would hit us financial hard. The worry my middle daughter will not get into the school of her older sister. Always in the back of my mind is the thought Revin' Roger will harm his body again. Most days my little guy moves faster than me. In the end these along with other worries seem to sit in the back of my mind. They do not go away, just wait to rear their ugly head.
Faith to me means trusting where you stand and take a leap. Knowing deep in your heart that it will all work out. The path may not be as straight as you initially envisioned but there is a fulfilling end to the journey.
F - Forfeit the need to control everything.
A - At the deepest hour have hope
I - I will trust God. He always has the right plan for me.
T - Trust
H - Have confidence that it will all work out
I need to have faith that 2014 will work out. If Bryan does lose his job, have faith that we will survive. He dusted off his resume, so there is a plan. Wild Regan will get into the school. I need to submit the paperwork on time. Everyday Revin' Roger gets older and will outgrow the need to test gravity. Running into walls is another story. I also need to have faith that math will click one day with Amazing Ann. It will all work out with faith.
In order to make FUN happen, I need to have faith. There are several outlets where I can get inspiration. Carol at Female in Motion always gives me a boost. Kris, at Kris on Fitness, writes how she overcomes stumbling blocks on her fitness quest. Ginny Marie, Lemon Drop Pie, address life after surviving breast cancer. These bloggers along with others refill my bucket of faith. I just need to fully accept faith in my life.
How full is your faith bucket?
