Book Review: Angelhood by A.J. Cattapan

I have known A.J. in real life for several years. She has been to my house countless times for parties and girls night "in." I have equally been to her place just as many times for wine, friendship and a good laugh. During the annual Christmas Cookie Baking Extravaganza she is the go-to person for all things cookie decorating. She can give any Cake Boss contestant a run for their money. One year she single handedly saved us from disaster because she decorated 90% of the Reindeer Cut-Out Cookies. No more cut-out cookies - ever without A.J.

The past several years A.J. has been on a mission to fulfill her dreams. Her latest accomplishment is as a published author. During the day she teaches middle school kids and at night she crafts stories to entertain young adults. As this much older adult, I truly enjoyed her book, Angelhood. Here is quick review:

Nanette is the main character who struggles with life after several events. Ultimately, she decides her existence on this earth is holding back her family from their dreams. To transition to the afterlife, she must teach another person the value their life holds and prevent them from the same mistake she took. This book truly makes the reader look at their past decisions and think about what their actions have done to others.

I truly enjoyed this debut book. A.J.'s writing captured my attention from the opening words to the last sentence. I encourage you to add this to your Must Read List. Below are links where you can find Angelhood.

Follow A.J. to learn more about Angelhood and other upcoming books.  In the mean time, join us this Thursday for her Facebook Launch party. I hear there are giveaways, fun trivia and a good time planned. If you are in the Chicagoland area, I can forward an invitation to a second launch party in May.
