Summer Bucket List 2015
This year my older kids have five weeks of summer vacation, so our plan needs to be compressed. Then of course, if we miss the July 15 deadline, we can always extend it to September for their first intercession. Below are our goals for the summer:
- Visit Popcorn Store.
- Vacation Bible School
- Craft and Pottery Classes
- Amazing Ann's drawing class.
- Hot "Dawgs" at the original Superdawg. A burger for Wild Regan.
- Soccer Camp for Revin Roger
- Chicago Tree House (Indoor playground)
- Swimming lessons
- Tour the local parks with friends.
- Lunch with dad. Hopefully the ice cream truck will visit again.
- Sleepover at grandparent's house.
- Movies in the park.
- Afternoon at the beach.
- No sunburns.
Most of the items are tradition. For example the first day of vacation we always visit the popcorn store. For the rest of break we visit a new park each week and vacation bible school at our church. Meeting Bryan for lunch is toss up based upon his travel and the kids' schedule. Last year was the first time the girls attended a movie in the park and we hope to makes this an annual tradition. Soccer camp and craft classes are new and the kids are excited to try something different. To be honest I have been using soccer camp as bait for Revin Roger to ditch his diapers. Shh, don't tell.
At the end of vacation our only goal is to have fun. While the kids have a shorten summer break, they still get enough time to relax from the rigors of school.
What are your plans this summer? Want to hear what other Spinners are doing this summer?
