Global eBook Club

Summer is all about "beach books" and downtime. Around here there is no beach or downtime. Something has to suffer to devour a book. Before kids, I would read a book on the train, airplane or shut off the television to lose myself in a good book. Today, most nights involve falling into bed exhausted. The only books read involves Dr. Seuss or a tractor. This summer I am determined to read a few books. Granted my attention will be adverted and a few things might happen: dinner might burn, the kids will take a longer nap and the first cry of "mom" will not get an immediate response. The end result? One happy mom who might fall in love with some new authors.

This summer I am excited to be part of the library's "global big read." They are calling it a Global eBook Club for any book lovers who use the Outlook app to read ebooks. The concept involves readers downloading the same book for the next two weeks. Afterwards, readers around the world will connect to discuss the book.

The book, Eyes on You by Kate White is a adult suspense novel. The early reviews sound very good. Stay tuned for my review.
