Three Good Things This Week
Ginny over at Lemon Drop Pie prompted Spinners to write three good things that happened this week.
The week opened with a paid photography job! Yipee!! The homeowner wanted images of her garden in full bloom. Here is one example.
What made this project fun was seeing the pride the homeowner had in her work. She transformed an over gown space into a stunning secret garden beyond a huge gate. I was blow away at the shear beauty of her backyard. She only wanted three shots but ended up with over 50 images. Hopefully, the images bring her joy each time she views them. She must be happy because she mailed a check!
On Wednesday the kids, a neighbor and I went to a children's theater production of Pinocchio. The venue was perfect for little ones, loud enough for the older set and the perfect place for children to experience their first taste of a live production. Everyone was absolutely perfect. There were no crying, wining or hitting - a big one in this family. As the stage lights went up the actors came out and took questions from the audience. The kids asked simple things like costume changes and the behind the scene crew. I learned more in the after show than from any other live theater production. Afterwards we had lunch at Walker Brothers Pancake House. The omelets and pancakes were amazing. I can still taste the maple syrup on my lips.
All week, I have been savoring the Belgium chocolates Bryan brought back from his latest trip. I told him the only key that opened the front door is a box of Belgium Chocolates. He did not fail - maybe had something to do with the desire to see his bed. European chocolates have less wax so the cocoa flavor is amazing.
Yes, I look goofy but I can not show the inside of the box. There are a few left. Just don't ask for a piece on Saturday because you will be disappointed at either me or the empty box
